How to create a business profile on AgroTour Connect and get verified

This guide is for farms, food producers, accommodation, restaurants and tour operators who want to be visible in the AgroTour Connect directory. It describes how to build a profile, what it should contain, and what the platform team checks before verification.

In short

• You create the profile after registering and confirming your email, by filling in a questionnaire that ends with the button "Submit for verification".
• The descriptions are optional in the questionnaire, but verification needs a BHS description of at least 50 characters. If you skipped it, add it under "My profile".
• Until it is verified, only you and administrators can see the profile. After verification it is publicly visible in the directory.
• Verification needs: a name, a BHS description of at least 50 characters, a municipality, a contact (phone or email), a legal form and a cover photo.
• Photos: one cover photo and up to 25 in the gallery, at most 5 MB per image.
• A JIB or VAT number is not mandatory, but it speeds up the check.

Who it applies to

Anyone described by one or more activities on the platform: producers, accommodation, restaurants, tour operators, municipalities and institutions. You choose activities in the questionnaire and change them later with the button "Edit roles" (BHS interface: "Uredi djelatnosti"). You cannot change the profile category yourself after registration; contact support (see "Where to go").

What to do

1. Register: first name, last name, business email, password, and consent to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
2. Open the message sent to your email and click the link. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder or use the "Resend" button.
3. Fill in the profile setup questionnaire: activities, name, legal form, municipality. The descriptions in BHS and English are marked optional in the questionnaire, but a BHS description of at least 50 characters is needed for verification, so add it in step 4 if you skipped it. The "AI helper" can suggest a name, municipality and categories from your description; review its suggestions before accepting them. Finish with "Submit for verification".
4. In the menu open My profile and press Edit profile. The profile has the sections "Basic information" (category, name, legal form, JIB / VAT number), "About" (BHS and EN), "Location" (municipality, address, map pin), "Offerings", "Contact" (phone, email, website) and "Photos".
5. Add a cover photo and gallery photos. A cover photo is needed for producers, accommodation, restaurants and tour operators, and not for municipalities and institutions.
6. Choose at least one offering from the list (business profiles).
7. Press Save. You can save an incomplete profile and finish it later. If something is missing you will see "Still needed before publishing" with a list of fields, and the "Profile completion" ring shows your progress.

What is checked at verification

A platform administrator reviews the profile in the verification queue. The "For verification" checklist covers:

• business or farm name (at least 2 characters);
• a BHS description of at least 50 characters;
• municipality;
• contact: phone or email;
• legal form;
• cover photo.

Everything else (English description, offerings, map location, JIB / VAT number) counts toward the completeness percentage and makes the profile stronger, but does not block verification by itself. The platform does not reject a profile automatically because of the percentage: a person reviews it and decides. An administrator cannot verify their own profile.

Outcome: if approved, you receive the message "Your profile has been verified" and your account becomes a contributor, which allows publishing public packages. If returned for revision, you get a notification with the reason; complete the profile and save it. For institutions (municipalities, tourist boards) the questionnaire states manual verification by the AgroTour team within 1 to 2 working days.

Tips

• Write the description in both languages. Foreign guests and partners read the English version, and BHS is needed for verification. Do not paste English text into the BHS field.
• Mark the exact location on the map. The pin is not required for verification but makes you easier to find. If you do not want to appear on the public map of all stakeholders, switch on "Hide my location from the public map"; the profile stays in the directory.
• Contacts (phone, email) are visible only to verified members. The public sees a "Log in to contact" button.
• If you have a JIB (13 digits) or a VAT number (12 digits), enter it. If you do not, leave the field empty.
• Press "Save" before closing the editor; unsaved changes are discarded.
