Tourism organisations in East Herzegovina: who they are and how to contact them

In brief

The Tourism Organisation of Republika Srpska (TORS) presents destinations at tourism fairs. Local tourism organisations work in Trebinje, Bileća, Gacko, Nevesinje and Kalinovik. We found no official procedure for getting listed, so send your local organisation a description with photos, and this autumn ask which fairs it plans for 2027.

The Tourism Organisation of Republika Srpska (Turistička organizacija Republike Srpske, TORS) and the local tourism organisations present what the area offers to guests, agencies and journalists, at fairs and on their websites. At the Belgrade fair in 2025 the Tourism Organisation of the City of Trebinje also displayed products from local wineries, cheese makers, beekeepers and cured meat producers, and its website keeps lists of providers. In short

TORS is a public institution of the Government of Republika Srpska. It presents destinations at tourism fairs, travel trade exchanges and events, working with the local tourism organisations.
The TORS website has a list of accommodation by type (including "Seosko domaćinstvo", the rural household) and a calendar of events.
The TORS list has 29 local tourism organisations. From your area it includes Trebinje, Gacko, Nevesinje and Kalinovik. Bileća has its own Turistička organizacija opštine Bileća, even though it is not on that list. We found no tourism organisation for Ljubinje or Berkovići.
In 2026 the Tourism Organisation of the City of Trebinje exhibited at fairs in Vienna, Kragujevac, Thessaloniki, Budapest, Ljubljana, Novi Sad and Belgrade, in Banja Luka at the end of February, and in March in Oslo for the first time (Radio Trebinje, 24 February 2026).
At the Belgrade fair in February 2025 it had its own 50 m² stand, with materials and products from Trebinje's accommodation providers, restaurants, wineries, and producers of cured meat, cheese, honey and medicinal herbs (TO Trebinje).

Who it applies to

Households that host guests, winemakers, cheese makers, beekeepers, producers of cured meat and medicinal herbs, restaurants, taverns, agencies and event organisers. A tourism organisation can only present what it knows about. So make the first contact yourself.

What to do

Prepare a short description in BHS and English: name, type of activity, address, phone, email, capacity or quantities, season and the languages you speak. Add a few good photos. We found no official listing procedure or form, so this list is our suggestion.
Email the description to the tourism organisation in your town, then phone them. Ask whether they keep a list of providers on their website. On gotrebinje.com TO Trebinje has separate lists for rural farms, honey and medicinal herbs, wineries, wine tasting rooms, taverns and restaurants, and travel agencies.
Ask which fairs they plan to attend next year and by when they need your material. In 2026 TO Trebinje went to most of its fairs between January and March, so get in touch this autumn.
Offer something for the stand that visitors can take: a flyer, a business card, a tasting, a product. Ask who pays for transport and who stays with the products at the stand. We found no rules on this.

If you organise an event, report it to your local organisation and to TORS. We could not find on the TORS website how an event is added to its calendar, so ask by phone.
