A visitor without an account sends a public enquiry that is answered by email. A verified network member can send a Question (one message until a reply) or a Partnership request. Only an accepted partnership opens free-flowing messaging and joint packages.
AgroTour Connect gives producers, hosts and tour operators three ways to approach another business: a public enquiry, a Question, and a Partnership request. Each has its own rules, so it helps to know which one to use.
In short
- A public enquiry can be sent by anyone, without an account. The owner replies by email.
- A Question is sent by a signed-in member with a verified profile. It carries no commitment, and you may send one message until the other side replies.
- A Partnership request is a formal tie. Once the recipient accepts, free-flowing messaging and joint packages open up.
- A message can be up to 4000 characters, text only, one-to-one. Messages are not translated automatically.
Who it applies to
All registered network members (producers, hosts, restaurants, operators) and visitors to the public directory. To contact others as a member, your profile must be verified and visible in the directory. If it is not complete, the send window says so and offers an "Open my profile" button. The platform states that verification is approved within 1-2 business days.
What to do
Without an account: a public enquiry
- Open the business page in the public directory.
- In the "Send an enquiry" form enter your name, an email for the reply, your message (for example a group of 8 in September) and, optionally, a phone number.
- Tick the consent box so your name and email may be stored for the reply, then click "Send enquiry".
- The owner is notified and replies to your email. The same form exists on package pages.
Abuse protection: you can send only a few enquiries in a short time, and each business can receive a limited number of enquiries per day. If you contacted the same business within the last hour, the new message may not be saved even though it looks sent, so wait an hour. Messages saying "try again in an hour" or "try again tomorrow" mean one of these limits was reached.
With an account: a Question or a Partnership request
- Sign in and open the business page. The "Send a message" button opens the "What do you want to send" window.
- Choose A question (introduce yourself in two sentences and ask what you need to know) or Partnership request (explain why you want to collaborate).
- Click "Send question" or "Send request". The "Suggest message (AI)" button can draft a text, which you can edit.
- When the recipient answers a Question, the thread opens in Messages with no limit.
Receiving and replying
- Messages (menu "Messages"): conversation list, search and unread messages. Enter sends, Shift+Enter starts a new line. The list refreshes about once a minute while the tab is open.
- Partnerships (menu "Partnerships"): "Incoming requests" and "Your outgoing requests". The recipient chooses "Accept" or "Decline", and the sender can "Cancel" while it is pending. On an accepted partnership the "Message" button opens the conversation. The page recommends replying within 72 hours. If you do not see this menu, the feature may not be enabled on your account yet.
- Enquiries (menu "Enquiries"): public enquiries with the filters "All", "Unread" and "Archived". Actions are "Reply by email", "Mark as read" and "Archive". The sender has no account and their email address is unverified, so be careful what you share.
- A new message triggers a bell notification and an email (if enabled in settings). Several messages in one conversation within an hour produce a single email.
Tips
- Keep the first Question short and concrete: who you are, what you offer, what you want to know. A second message is possible only after a reply.
- Send a Partnership request when you really plan a joint package or regular cooperation.
- If a partner declines, the same pair cannot be linked again by a request, but a Question remains possible.
- A closed conversation and a profile that does not accept messages are shown with their own status.
