Gazdinstvo Milutina Miloševića

U selu Šume, nadomak Gacka, nalazi se porodično domaćinstvo Milošević, mjesto gdje se ljubav prema zemlji, životinjama i porodičnoj tradiciji prenosi s generacije na generaciju. Ovdje svoju budućnost gradi mladi domaćin Milutin Milošević, koji je od svojih roditelja i predaka naučio da domaćinstvo nije samo kuća i imanje, već način života, odgovornost i nasljeđe koje vrijedi sačuvati. Još od djetinjstva Milutin je pokazivao posebnu ljubav prema domaćim životinjama, što ga je kasnije usmjerilo ka veterinarskoj struci. Danas je aktivan član Udruženja uzgajivača gatačkog govečeta i jedan od mladih ljudi koji svojim znanjem i radom žele doprinijeti očuvanju ove dragocjene autohtone rase, nastale ukrštanjem domaćih goveda sa uvezenim rasama prije više od jednog vijeka. Njegovi planovi sežu mnogo dalje od svakodnevnih poslova na imanju. U toku su aktivnosti na nabavci mladih junica iz Austrije, a Milutinova vizija je uspostavljanje centra za uzgoj, razmnožavanje i očuvanje gatačkog govečeta. Na taj način želi dati svoj doprinos očuvanju genetskog nasljeđa, unapređenju stočarstva i stvaranju novih mogućnosti za razvoj poljoprivrede gatačkog kraja. Pored stočarstva, Milutin se aktivno bavi i pčelarstvom, a domaćinstvo se priprema i za razvoj ruralnog turizma. Završni radovi na budućoj „Gostoprimnici“ privode se kraju, pa će posjetioci uskoro imati priliku da iz prve ruke upoznaju život na hercegovačkom selu, domaće proizvode i tradicionalno gostoprimstvo. Posebno mjesto u ponudi domaćinstva zauzima domaći pršut, pripremljen po tradicionalnoj recepturi, koji se među ljubiteljima hercegovačkih delicija izdvaja izuzetnim kvalitetom i prepoznatljivim ukusom. Priča o domaćinstvu Milošević nije samo priča o poljoprivredi, stočarstvu i pčelarstvu. To je priča o mladom čovjeku koji je odlučio da svoje znanje, energiju i budućnost uloži u rodni kraj, čuvajući ono što su stvarale prethodne generacije, ali istovremeno donoseći nove ideje i razvojne mogućnosti. In the village of Šume, near Gacko, lies the Milošević family farm, a place where a love of the land, animals and family traditions has been passed down through generations. Here, young farmer Milutin Milošević is building his future, guided by the values he inherited from his parents and ancestors. He was raised to understand that a family farm is much more than a house and a piece of land – it is a way of life, a responsibility and a heritage worth preserving. From an early age, Milutin developed a special affection for farm animals, which eventually led him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Today, he is an active member of the Gacko Cattle Breeders' Association and one of the young people dedicated to preserving this valuable indigenous cattle breed, developed more than a century ago through the crossbreeding of local cattle with imported breeds. His ambitions extend far beyond the everyday activities of the farm. Efforts are currently underway to acquire young heifers from Austria, while Milutin's long-term vision is to establish a breeding and conservation centre for Gacko cattle. Through this initiative, he hopes to contribute to the preservation of the breed's genetic heritage, the improvement of livestock farming and the creation of new opportunities for agricultural development in the Gacko region. Alongside cattle breeding, Milutin is also actively involved in beekeeping, while the family farm is preparing to welcome visitors as part of its expanding rural tourism activities. The finishing touches are being put on the Gostoprimnica, a traditional hospitality venue where guests will soon have the opportunity to experience authentic rural life in Herzegovina, discover locally produced food and enjoy the warm hospitality for which the region is known. One of the highlights of the farm's culinary offerings is its homemade pršut (traditionally cured prosciutto), prepared according to a time-honoured family recipe. Renowned among lovers of Herzegovinian delicacies for its exceptional quality and distinctive flavour, it is a true reflection of the region's rich gastronomic heritage. The story of the Milošević family farm is about much more than agriculture, livestock breeding and beekeeping. It is the story of a young man who has chosen to invest his knowledge, energy and future in his homeland, preserving the achievements of previous generations while introducing fresh ideas and creating new opportunities for development. The Milošević family farm in the village of Šume is living proof that rural Herzegovina has a future when tradition, knowledge and a genuine love for one's homeland come together in the right hands.
