What to do
- Follow the "Obavještenja" (notices) page on the municipal website and the notice board of the Opštinska uprava (municipal administration). Calls are published there, and the deadline runs from the day of publication.
- The required documents differ from call to call. Sole traders had to provide a CIPS residence certificate or an ID card, the registration decision, a certificate that taxes are paid up and a giro account number, plus proof of disability for applicants with a disability. Greenhouse and ProBio BiH applicants also had to submit a certified household list and proof of household members' income. For the land lease, individuals provided a copy of their ID card and a farm register certificate from 2025 or 2026. Always check the exact list in the call itself.
- Collect the forms at the municipal administration (counter 2 for the sole trader call, the information desk for the greenhouse call).
- Submit the application in person or by post, in a sealed envelope marked as the call requires. Incomplete or late applications are not considered.
- A commission scores the applications and publishes a ranking list or a list of beneficiaries. The selected applicants then sign a contract.
Deadlines and amounts
- ProBio BiH: up to 2,500 EUR per beneficiary, VAT included. The beneficiary must cover at least 10% of the investment and keep the equipment for at least 3 years. Buying land, buildings, used machinery or equipment, or passenger cars is not eligible.
- Greenhouses: according to the call, Muslim Aid Association pays 40%, the municipality 45% and the beneficiary 15%. Applications are scored on the plot conditions found on site, household size, income per member, social situation and earlier donations. The beneficiary must keep the greenhouse for at least 3 years.
- Sole traders: up to 3,000 KM as a one-off payment, for fitting out and equipping premises, equipment and materials, running costs, or taxes and contributions on wages. The business must keep operating for 12 months from the contract.
- Land lease: rent is 250 KM per hectare per year for land classes I to V and 200 KM per hectare for classes VI to VIII. On land with an existing maraska sour cherry orchard the tenant pays no rent for the first three years.
- Leases run for up to 1 year for annual field crops, up to 5 years for lucerne, planting material and medicinal herbs, and up to 20 years for planting orchards and vineyards. Sub-leasing is not allowed.
- Maximum area per applicant: 30 ha for a company, 20 ha for a cooperative, 10 ha for a sole trader with employees, 8 ha for a commercial farm, 3 ha for a non-commercial farm, 1 ha for an unregistered farm with several members and 0.5 ha for an unregistered single-member farm. If few people apply, these limits can be raised.
- All 2026 calls listed here are closed. As of 7 October 2026 the "Obavještenja" page showed no call from the agriculture budget line, so ask the municipality about this money. Dates of new calls are not announced in advance, so watch the notices.
