For 2026 the City of Trebinje budgeted 150,000 KM for its agricultural support programme, and in May the Agrarni fond gave out about 20,000 vegetable seedlings free. Besides the Republika Srpska subsidies paid by the Agencija za agrarna plaćanja (Agency for Agrarian Payments), the City of Trebinje runs its own support for farmers. This article sets out what is confirmed for 2026 and where to follow calls. It concerns agricultural producers in the Trebinje area.

In 2022 the Register of Agricultural Holdings of the Republika Srpska Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management listed 910 holdings from the Trebinje area (802 non-commercial, 76 commercial, 32 legal entities).
- For other municipalities, check with the municipal administration. Gacko, for example, besides republishing Republika Srpska calls, runs its own annual call for agricultural subsidies, published in September.
Who it applies to
Agricultural producers who are natural persons residing in the City of Trebinje and entered in the Baza poljoprivrednih proizvođača (database of agricultural producers) and the register of subsidy users of the Agrarni fond Grada Trebinja (City of Trebinje Agrarian Fund). For vegetable seedlings, applicants also needed adequate land and conditions for growing the listed vegetables.
What to do
- Check that you are entered in the producer database and the register of the Agrarni fond. If not, ask the Fund.
- Follow the City of Trebinje public calls page and the notices of the Agrarni fond Grada Trebinja regularly, as deadlines are short (the seedling call was open only 7 days).
- Example from 2026: the public call for vegetable seedlings (Agrarni fond, no. 180/26, 7 May 2026) stayed open 7 days, until 14 May 2026. Applications were made on form AF-PPP (available at the Fund office, Cerska 1, on working days 7:00 to 15:00, or on the City and Fund websites) and submitted in person at the Fund office, with an ID card, proof of entry in the database and register, and a certified statement accepting obligations and responsibility.
- Only one adult member of a household could apply per holding; if two or more people from the same household applied, all those applications were rejected.
- Applicants willing to enter a cooperation relationship with the Fund (organised purchase of produce) had priority for seedlings.
Deadlines and amounts
The 2026 seedling call is closed. We saw no published calls for the other programmes, so no deadlines can be given. The City's official 2026 plan does not say how the 150,000 KM is split between programmes or how much goes to greenhouses. In 2025 the City carried out two programmes: vegetable seedlings (24,943 seedlings, 131 users, 14,000 KM) and partial co-financing of 9 water user associations (3,188.79 KM). As of 6 October 2026 we saw no call on the City or Fund websites; check with the Fund.

- On 21 April 2026 the Gacko municipality republished on its website the Republika Srpska call of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the Agencija za agrarna plaćanja for capital investments in 2026. The municipality also runs its own call for agricultural subsidies: the 2025 call was published on 23 September 2025 with a deadline of 10 October 2025, applications went to the Poljoprivredna zadruga Gacko (Gacko agricultural cooperative), and the maximum was 2,000 KM per household. As of 8 October 2026 the 2026 call had not been published; follow the municipality's website.
- For other municipalities, contact the municipal administration. On 6 October 2026 the Nevesinje municipality announced on its website that it would pay 165,000 KM to farmers within about 15 days; ask the municipal administration about the conditions.
