In brief
Republika Srpska co-finances up to 50% of eligible agro-tourism project costs on family farms, at most 10,000 KM per beneficiary. The application goes to the Agency for Agrarian Payments by 30 June of the current year, and the applicant must be registered for hospitality services in rural areas.
The 2026 Rulebook on agricultural subsidies in Republika Srpska includes a dedicated measure for agro-tourism projects on family farms. It concerns households that already offer, or plan to offer, hospitality services in rural areas, such as accommodation with meals, farm tours or tastings.
In short
- The subsidy is 50% of eligible costs of the agro-tourism project, at most 10,000 KM per beneficiary.
- Applications go to the Agencija za agrarna plaćanja (Agency for Agrarian Payments) by 30 June of the current year. The 2026 deadline has passed, so the next chance is under the 2027 rulebook.
- Money is paid according to a ranking list, up to the amount set in the annual Plan for the use of funds.
- Anyone who received this subsidy in the last three years cannot get it in the current year.
- The same investment cannot receive a subsidy on more than one basis (Article 3, paragraph 7).
Who it applies to
- Beneficiaries registered to provide hospitality services in rural areas on a family farm.
- General conditions: residence or seat in Republika Srpska and entry in the Register of Agricultural Holdings.
- Not eligible: holders with passive status, farms whose holder did not report contributions for 2025, those who did not pay the 2025 hail protection fee, those who gave false data or did not account for last year's funds.
What to do
- Check that you are entered in the Register of Agricultural Holdings and that your rural hospitality services contract is on record.
- Prepare the agro-tourism project proposal on Form 29v (business plan with an estimated value of the investment).
- Attach the certificate that the rural hospitality contract is recorded, pro forma invoices matching the project, and the decision on categorisation of the facility issued by the local self-government unit.
- Submit the application to the Agency by 30 June. A commission appointed by the minister scores applications and ranks them. Points: 5 for each type of offer in the business plan (accommodation with meals, educational tours, tastings of local products, activities for families and children), 20 if the applicant is a woman or under 40 (otherwise 10), and 15 for higher or 10 for secondary education.
- Whoever submitted pro forma invoices must, within 90 days of the payment of funds, submit a report on the use of funds on Form 30, with invoices and proof of payment. A commission appointed by the Agency director checks the investment on site.
Deadlines and amounts
- Costs are proven by a fiscal receipt with a certified invoice and proof of payment through a bank account, or by a works contract with a statement of work and a bank statement.
- Not eligible, among others: buying land or existing buildings, second-hand equipment, reconstruction or adaptation of existing equipment, salaries, rent, fees of designers and consultants, leasing and payment in kind.
- The Agency decides at the latest 60 days after the application deadline.
- Keep documents for at least three years. Misused funds must be returned within 30 days of the inspector's decision, followed by a block on subsidies for at least two years.
- Check the exact list of investments recognised for agro-tourism with the Agency before buying, because for this measure the rulebook gives only general rules on eligible costs and a scoring list (Specification 4a).
