Published: 6 October 2026Author: AgroTour Connect team
In brief

For 2026 Republika Srpska pays up to 600 KM/ha for field crops, up to 700 KM/ha for fruit and vegetables, up to 500 KM per livestock unit and 30 KM per beehive. You need a valid certificate from an authorised control body and farm registration (RPG). Apply to the Agency for Agricultural Payments by 30 November.

Each year the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Republika Srpska issues a rulebook with three supports for certified organic production: a crop premium, a livestock premium (including bees) and a payment for processed organic products. The text below describes the 2026 rulebook.

In short

  • Crops: up to 600 KM per hectare (field crops), up to 700 KM per hectare (fruit and vegetables), up to 300 KM per 100 m² in protected space. Conversion-period production is included.
  • Livestock: up to 500 KM per livestock unit or 30 KM per beehive (minimum 25 hives).
  • Cap of 40,000 KM per beneficiary per year for each of these two premiums.
  • Processing: 400 KM per beneficiary for one certified processed product, 1,000 KM for two or more.
  • Deadline for crop and livestock premiums is 30 November, for processed products 31 October of the current year.

Who it applies to

Individuals, sole traders and legal entities resident or seated in Republika Srpska, registered in the Register of Agricultural Holdings (RPG), with certified organic production or production in the conversion period. Land or animals must be entered in the RPG as organic production, and hives in the Register of Beekeepers and Apiaries.

Minimum areas: 0.1 ha for fruit and vegetables, 0.25 ha for field crops and 100 m² in protected space. Natural meadows, pastures and bare uncultivated land do not count.

What to do

  1. Sign a control and certification contract with a control body authorised by the Ministry.
  2. Check that the holding, land or animals are entered in the RPG as organic production.
  3. Obtain the control body's inspection record (with cadastral parcels, cadastral municipality and crops, or number of animals) and a copy of this year's certificate. Both must be issued by 30 November at the latest. If they are late, attach the control body's written explanation for the delay.
  4. For bees, also attach the Ministry decision entering you in the Register of Beekeepers and Apiaries and the tag ID number of each hive.
  5. Submit the application with the documents to the Agencija za agrarna plaćanja (Agency for Agricultural Payments). For processing, attach the certificate that names the processed product.
  6. The Agency decides by written decision within 60 days after the deadline, and pays directly into the bank account recorded in the RPG.

Deadlines and amounts

  • The amounts are ceilings. The final rate is set after all applications are processed, in proportion to total organic area or animals and the funds in the annual Plan for the Use of Funds.
  • Whoever receives the organic livestock premium cannot claim other per-animal or per-hive premiums for the same animals and hives.
  • Crop and livestock premium: by 30 November. Processing: by 31 October.
  • The rulebook is issued every year, so check the new text for next year's amounts and deadlines.
