Registered farms buy diesel for spring and autumn work at the retail price minus 0.80 KM per litre, up to 100 litres per hectare (at least 1 ha). Fuel must be bought between 1 March and 15 November, with a request (Form 24) obtained from the municipal administration.
Diesel rebate in Republika Srpska is not paid to you as cash: you buy fuel at the retail price minus the rebate amount at a participating filling station. It applies to registered agricultural holdings in Republika Srpska, including East Herzegovina. This describes the rulebook for 2026.
In short
- The rebate is 0.80 KM per litre of diesel and euro-diesel.
- Up to 100 litres per hectare, with a minimum area of 1 ha.
- Fuel is bought between 1 March and 15 November (pickup from the distributor no later than 15 November).
- Caps: 50,000 KM for non-commercial holdings, 100,000 KM for commercial holdings, 200,000 KM for entrepreneurs and legal entities.
- Quantities are based on land for which the land use is entered in the RPG (Registar poljoprivrednih gazdinstava, farm register) for 2026.
Who it applies to
Registered farms, entrepreneurs and legal entities buying diesel for spring and autumn work on arable land. Only areas entered in the RPG count, so your RPG data must be up to date. The Agencija za agrarna plaćanja (Agency for Agricultural Payments) calculates approved quantities: the first calculation before sales start, for those who have updated their data, and a last one for those who update later, up to the update deadline.
What to do
- Check that your land and its use for 2026 are entered in the RPG and that your holding is updated.
- Collect your request on Form 24 from the administrative service of your municipality or city, after it has been recorded and registered. The Agency sends municipalities the lists of users with approved quantities.
- Choose a filling station of an authorised fuel distributor anywhere in Republika Srpska that has an agreement with the Ministry for selling rebated fuel. The Agency publishes the list.
- At the first purchase give the distributor the request, an unverified copy of your ID (individuals) or the tax registration certificate (JIB) for entrepreneurs and legal entities.
- Sign the back of the fiscal receipt to confirm you received the fuel (businesses sign and stamp).
- One request covers both spring and autumn work. Several receipts from separate purchases can be attached, but only from one distributor at one filling station.
Settlement is done every two months between the Agency and distributors, based on the distributors' sales reports, so the farmer does not submit receipts to the Agency or wait for a payment.

- Amendments to the rulebook: Službeni glasnik RS no. 27/26, no. 52/26, no. 65/26 and no. 80/26. The 27/26 amendments do not change Article 32. Check with the Agencija za agrarna plaćanja whether the later amendments change the diesel rebate conditions.
